Le théâtre des marionnettes -
The Puppet theatre by Sarah Pernet, translated by Tanya Mayne

The Théâtre des Marionnettes de Genève (Geneva Puppet Theatre) was founded in 1929 and has been delighting both young and old ever since.

Families and schools can come to Rodo Street to enter another world, a fairy-like world of puppets housed in a magnificent auditorium that was inaugurated in 1984.

From September to May, between 12 and 14 carefully selected plays are put on by the
Puppet Theatre.

Since the field of puppetry is so varied and rich, it can offer very different styles and a wide range of shows, each of which offers a new, surprising and bewitching universe.

Some shows are for young children, others are for teenagers and adults, and these different show performances happen randomly across the season.

However, this theatre is intended to be multi-generational, so children's shows will also appeal to accompanying adults.

In fact, going to the theatre is something special, creating a moment for the whole family to share. Indeed puppets let us broach varied and sensitive subject matter and emotionally touch many people.

This is a particularly appreciated theatre, loved by both by its public and by the cantonal authorities.

We therefore suggest you have a look at the website to take a look at the new show programme! You will definitely find something to enjoy!
